The PCR test for human papillomavirus (HPV) detects 14 high-risk genotypes that can cause cancer. We use real-time PCR to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the diagnosis.
Avoid using creams, suppositories, or vaginal douches 24 hours before the test.

Cervical, urethral, anal exudate in PCR transport medium (collect sample with cytobrush or dacron or nylon swab), urine, semen, biopsy in saline solution (stable for 24 hrs at 2-8ºC). For biopsies, an additional day is added to the delivery time (4 business days).
