Collect plasma/EDTA (2 mL), keep refrigerated at 4-8ºC. No hemolysis, no lipemia. Centrifuge within the first hour of collection at 800 to 1600 rpm for 20 minutes at room temperature. Transfer two 2 mL aliquots of plasma to polypropylene tubes. Indicate weight and height, fill out form R-5. 4-044 Insulin Resistance Test Request.
