The vitamin B1 (Thiamine) test measures the concentration of this vitamin in plasma, which is crucial for assessing nutritional status and detecting deficiencies. We use Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry to ensure accurate and reliable results.
The sample must be frozen and protected from light. Separate plasma within 4 hours of collection. Overnight fasting is preferred. The patient should not consume alcohol, coffee, tea, raw fish, liver, pork, sausages, or vitamins for at least 24 hours prior to collection.
